Lakes and ponds across our nation are being overrun with cattail, algae, and other invasive aquatic weeds. Most are then assaulted with all types of poisons to try and kill the weeds. Can you imagine what all those chemicals are doing to our precious ground water?
Blue Moose Ponds, LLC is licensed and insured and is committed to pond recovery and restoration using only natural products that work in unison to clean the water, reduce excess nutrients and slow the growth of aquatic plants. Our products are completely natural and are safe for people, fish, turtles and other aquatic life. We are your LOCAL pond care specialist and have been in business here for a decade. AERATION
Aeration is probably the most important thing a pond needs.
Just like people, ponds need oxygen in order to survive. An aerated pond will be clearer, cleaner, and has less bottom muck than a pond without aeration - all essential to pond care. Proper aeration will distribute cooler oxygenated water to warmer areas with lower amounts of dissolved oxygen. A pond without aeration will become stratified into two very separate layers in the summer heat.

Our monthly maintenance plan consists of adding between 50 and 150 gallons of custom biologics, a special blend of aerobic bacteria, which are brewed in our shop for maximum effectiveness and multiplication. This will help reduce the muck that the weeds and algae grow on. The amount of biologics added will be determined by the size, condition, age and depth of your pond. We can also include pond shade additive which will help prevent the sun rays from reaching the bottom of your pond to help reduce the growth of unwanted weeds and algae.
We can also add a silica based pro mix which is beneficial to diatom growth that effectively and naturally reduces nutrients for algae growth.
Our services can also include inspection and maintenance of aeration systems and filters if you desire. We can also provide removal of floating algae and duckweed as needed.

We can use our PureO2 to help bring up the algae and other organic matter clouding your water. Next we'll perform a skim for a more beautiful pond or water feature. Perfect for real estate photo shoots or events when it's important to make it look better.

After a decade of trying countless pond products, we have come up with what we believe are the best products that are formulated for our Montana climate and ecosystem.
